    Amina Alem

    Partnership & Training Coordinator, Ghana

    Amina is driven by the transformative power of women leadership. With a background in program development and community engagement, Amina creates opportunities for young women to access training, resources and networks to build their own ventures, achieve financial independence and generate change in their community. Seeing young women thrive is what fuels her work every day.

    Anna Rose Miller

    Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Consultant

    Anna Rose is an evaluation and learning consultant with a focus on youth development, gender equality, and inclusive economic opportunities. She is passionate about working with YCI on participatory projects that generate evidence to build a more equitable future.

    Brenda Mkwesha

    Regional Project Manager, Africa

    Brenda is passionate about women’s rights and digital and economic empowerment. She has extensive experience in regional management, strategy and partnership development. She believes for an organization to thrive, it needs relevant programs, good branding and visibility and strong partnerships. She values the importance of team development through capacity development, coaching and mentorship.

    CEO

    Bryan brings extensive international executive leadership and strategic management experience to the table. He excels at crafting forward-looking growth strategies and driving organizational development. At YCI, Bryan leverages his expertise in human capital development, innovative financing and strategic partnerships to achieve transformative results. YCI has taught him that innovation is a process, not a destination, where learning never ends.

    Country Manager, Tanzania

    Eileen is a dynamic leader with a strong track record in designing and managing high-impact, multi-million dollar projects across agriculture, renewable energy, youth engagement and women’s empowerment.     Grace Namaganda Bukenya

    Entrepreneurship & Learning Manager, Uganda

    Grace has a background in Social Development, Social Entrepreneurship and Human Rights.     Strategy & Business Development Advisor

    Kristine has collaborated with people and organizations worldwide to design, lead and support transformative programs and experiences for young people.     Jamie Newland

    Board Chair

    Following a 35-year career as in-house counsel in the financial services industry both in Canada and internationally, Jamie now devotes his time to volunteer interests, including most importantly serving as Chair of the YCI Board. He believes passionately in the power of youth to create positive change and is continually inspired by their creativity, talent and dedication.

    Katherine Arblaster

    Vice Chair

    Katherine leads sustainability and decarbonization strategies within the investment and mining sectors. She has supported some of Canada’s largest public and private organizations to redesign their corporate strategies and business models to be better poised for growth during the energy transition. She is inspired every day by the incredible impact YCI makes through ​​thoughtful, relevant and focused programs.

    Priya Paul

    Treasurer

    Priya is an experienced finance professional by day with a focus on management accounting, strategic planning and financial leadership. She thrives when brainstorming as a board and driving decision making to help ensure YCI has the best outcomes.

    Kevin Thomason

    Secretary

    Kevin is a serial entrepreneur, humanitarian and environmental advocate who started his first company at age 13. Kevin is deeply involved in environmental protection and the tech sector, where he continues to coach and mentor leading startups. He is known for his adventurous spirit and commitment to helping others. YCI has shown him the power of youth transforming our communities and planet.

    Ossana Ber

    Director

    Ossana is a dedicated community builder and advocates for inclusive, sustainable spaces. With extensive experience in community engagement, public relations and strategic partnerships, she has led initiatives that foster connection, well-being and social impact. At YCI, she is dedicated to building communities where individuals, especially youth and women, have the tools, resources and opportunities to thrive.

    Erin Kim

    Director

    Erin leads organizations past ideation to build strategic roadmaps, achieve growth targets and find product-market fit. Her experience spans financial services, energy, health care, non-profit, public sector, social enterprise and telecom across Canada, USA and Central Asia. Erin is inspired by YCI’s global and diverse impact, particularly in social entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.
