About the Consultant Roster

YCI is building a roster of talented consultants based in Canada to collaborate on our growing portfolio of dynamic programs for young thinkers, doers and innovators. Selected consultants will be considered for future short-term or project-based assignments with YCI based on their expertise, alignment and availability. Selected consultants will remain on the roster for a 2-year term.

Areas of Expertise

Youth Challenge International invites qualified consultants to express their interest in apply to joining our Consultant Roster. Consultants must be based in Canada (with preference for those located in Toronto or GTHA) and have expertise in at least one of the following areas:

  1. Future skills development for youth: Consultants with expertise in areas such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, resilience, communication, leadership and socioemotional development for young people. Assignments may include curriculum design, coaching and facilitation.
  2. Youth entrepreneurship and innovation: Consultants with expertise in areas such as design thinking, human centered design, and business model development. Assignments may include program design, coaching and facilitation.
  3. Artificial Intelligence and emerging technology: Consultants with expertise in digital literacy for young people, ethical applications of emerging technology and AI for good. Assignments may include curriculum design, coaching and facilitation.
  4. Business development for NGOs: Consultants with expertise in resource mobilization. Assignments may include ecosystem and opportunity research, new program design, proposal development, grant writing and partnership building.

 Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the areas listed above;
  • Proven experience working in the youth sector;
  • Previous consulting experience;
  • Fluency in English is required, proficiency in French or another language is considered an asset;
  • Availability and flexibility to be considered for projects over the next 2 years.

Compensation

YCI will provide competitive remuneration that aligns with skills and experience of the consultant.
